Lithuanian KU-DIR-KA chair – symbol of the Moscow Industrial Design Forum

In August this year, thousands of posters and banners depicting an unusual ten-legged chair appeared in Moscow. The pictures were accompanied by an invitation to visit the international Industrial Design Forum Design Act 2008 that took place in Moscow from 29 to 31 August this year. An item created by Lithuanian designers – the KU-DIR-KA chair – became the symbol of the whole exhibition. This created a significant amount of interest in the work of Lithuanian designers.

The winner of the year – “Officeforever”! This year Lithuanian design studio CONTRAFORMA won grand prix of the furniture design competition which was a part of the BALDAI exhibition at LITEXPO with modern office furniture system “Officeforever” by Nauris Kalinauskas

“A person spends a lot of time in his/her work place, wherever it is; therefore it shall be harmonized, aesthetic and functional, without unnecessary details”, - author N. Kalinauskas tells about „Officeforever“. Completeness of the office furniture created by the designer covers all, the most important things, and the laptop in the centre.

We are proud to present our design studio CONTRAFORMA which is well known as a contemporary and sophisticated furniture design studio.
